Do I need to download a certain streaming platform? If so, how do I do that?
You don't have to download anything - if you want to join without downloading Zoom check out these instructions: Joining a Zoom Meeting without an Account
If you do have Zoom already downloaded, you can follow these instructions: Joining a Zoom Meeting
And finally, if you want to download Zoom, you can do that by following the information here: Downloading the Zoom desktop client and mobile app
What do I do after I download the platform?
Great! Around 3:15 GMT on March 9th you can follow these instructions: Joining a Zoom Meeting
Can you do a practice run on Zoom with me?
Sure - you can text Willian or Maggie, or shoot an email to bomze.gomes@gmail.com. We'll show you how to connect (and can also have a chat)! Please let us know before Wednesday, March 8.
What should I wear?
The dress code is Black Tie.
JUST KIDDING!
Please wear anything that makes you comfortable: your coziest loungewear, a sequin cape, a hat you've been wanting to try out - you do you!
Be as festive, normal, or formal as you want.
Should I have my camera on during the ceremony?
Totally up to you, we'd love to see your smiling faces and have you get to know some of the other folks we love, but no pressure.
Also, no one needs to see you putting groceries away or using the commode, so just turn the camera off if you aren't watching.
Should I mute myself during the ceremony?
Yes - please for the love of all that is good and true in the world, MUTE yourself. After the ceremony, we will unmute folks for a few mins of chat before heading off for champagne and creamy pints of Guinness.
Will there be a virtual reception?
Nope - we'll spend a few minutes saying hi after the ceremony, and then we'll close the Zoom room. For the real receptions - we hope to see you in the US and Brasil in the coming years.
Is anyone going to be there in person?
Yes - it'll just be our witnesses, Andrea Siegel and Rafael and Amanda Bondesan. Plus our photographer.
What if we happen to be in Dublin, can we come to the ceremony or can we meet you somewhere after?
We're easy going. If you're here, you are more than welcome to join!
Just know it's an intentionally small ceremony and we'll head out for drinks around town after.
Also worth noting - the next morning the 5 of us are flying out to Tenerife for a friendymoon, so we won't be in Dublin over the weekend. We will be back in time for St. Patrick's Day and would be happy to catch the parade with you!
